Last Day of October

Today is the last day of the month of October. Time flies so fast we are almost at the end of 2011!! I read in my daily prayer book a reflection why we sometimes think and feels that time goes so quick. It says, it is because we are too busy with our lives. Some people don't have time to stop and look at the sky, to smell the flowers, to mingle with friends and family, and the most important part is to be quite with the Lord. How many of us know about the Adoration chapel in our church.
When I was in the Philippines, I love to go to the adoration chapel and spend time just gazing at the Lord. After I pray I just set there, close my eyes and do nothing. It is hard for many of us not to think our daily problems, worries and concerns but we don't realize that by  being with the Lord every day in our life, listening to HIM and being with HIM is the secret of what is called life. So today I am so greatly thankful that God is with us all the time. Concerns, worries, problems is always there but remember Jesus told us "do not be afraid for I am with you" And so Lord through the rest of this remaining months of this year, I offer you my family, friends and relatives. Amen!

Roses

I am thankful here in Michigan we don't have the snow (yet). As we all know in the northeast  (which Michigan is part of the northeast) some of the states had 10 inches of snow on a Halloween weekend, what a killjoy mother nature is, right? Looking at my garden the flowers tries to bloom but few days ago we had our first frost. I was browsing my photo archive and deleting some albums and found my Rose show 2011 folder with tons of roses in different color not yet shared in the blogosphere. So I decide today to share some of my yellow and reddish roses taken from Rose Show 2011 at Frederick Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park, Grand Rapids, Michigan.

What is your Halloween Costume

I am not into Halloween costume but I am not against it either.  I love to go to the party in fact I have to go to one party tonight. One thing that I don't like is spending money with costumes that is why I like to be creative. My step daughter gave me a "Halloween costume" the other week and that's what I am going to wear but I have to wear another thing though, some kind of a cowboy get up that I can only get from my closet. And of course I am the assigned photographer, hehe! So for now ciao! Post later the winning costume! Happy weekend everyone!

House or Apartment?

My brother in law and his wife have a dilemma of what to rent a house or an apartment.  Houses for rent in Edmonton, Alberta as he says are beautiful and it is very close to the place where he is going to work. On the other hand, apartments are also beautiful but his wife wanted a bigger and exclusive space. I looked at the houses and the apartments that they are looking for sometime and try to come up with a conclusion I told my brother in law to get the house. My sister in law was grinning at me and I know the feeling if you are in a house on your own and you do not have to worry about people close by. I understand my sister in law who wanted to rent the house compare the apartment because in Texas, they have a huge house and here in Michigan they lived at his mother’s house, which is also huge. So the wife is used to be live with huge house and she is not comfortable seeing at people close by.  This afternoon they are going to contact his new working place informing them that they would rent a house. Next, they are going to prepare what to bring and what not to bring for they have many furniture and stuff that if they would bring them all it will cost them an arm and a leg. However, knowing my sister in law I doubt if she will not bring her furniture since she is attach to all her furniture. For me I wish them happiness and safe travel in their new home and place.

$1

Last Monday I feel like going to the library. I have plenty of books I haven't read. And it is been awhile I haven't browsed what's new in the library. So off I go. To my surprised they are putting many of the book on sale. It's a bag full of books for a $1. How is that for a good deal huh! I didn't hesitate to browsed and looked around. What I noticed for myself I like novels now that has an Asian story or character to it. And that's what I've got. Then I went to the shelf where my favorite author Mary Higgins Clark is displayed and I found the book I have not read yet, the title We'll Meet Again. Here are some of the photos.

The Wedding Must Go On

Last Saturday, we went to Petosky, Michigan to attend a wedding. The wedding ceremony would be held at a park but because of the weather, the wedding was transferred to where the reception will be held. This is part of Lake Michigan. Look at the water it's very rough. But in spite of the rain, high wind, and bitterly cold temperature...the picture taking must go on..........scroll down.......

Yup, we came here, I was taking picture of the bride and groom. And look at the two love birds they don't look and feel cold. While I was trying to focus myself and grounding myself because the wind could knocked me down easy. As I have said the wedding must go on....^_^

My Mama's Death Anniversary

My heart is heavy tonight. Remembering 12 years ago my mother passed away and left us her three children orphaned. They said "Time will heal the wounds" no it's not. Wound remains there but somehow we have to move on with life but we carry that wound. I don't think my wounded heart will heal it's always open and bleeding and in times like this I feel the loss of not having a mother. It is not easy to live in this life without a mother there are times that I cried because I remember her and wishing that she is still around us. Life for some are short and some are long but for my mother and father it's short. Today, I remember to pray her soul and may she rest in peace. We missed you Ma!

Meal Box Question

This is my first time to use my Meal Box question. I bought this at church and the questions are so cool I can't wait to answer them.

IF you could have been born on a holiday, which one would it be?

If I have to choose what holiday I will be born I think I will choose Easter. Because Easter for me is when Jesus raise to heaven. And for me it is the happiest moment though of course Christmas is too.

                                                         Food for Family Thought

Make faith come alive in your child's imagination by celebrating as many religious holidays as you can. Celebration can be as Christmas, or as simple as singing a hymn. A religious calendar that lists feast days can help you plan celebrations in advance.

This is funny because I still could remember the time I became the queen of our barangay.   I think this was in the early 70’s. Very fun memories since my mama and papa are with me in this photo. Now they are both gone and I missed them much.

Resume Builder

It has been 26 years since I graduated college. I felt as if it happened yesterday never thought it has been that long. I am thinking of going back to work but I have this apprehension on How to Write a Resume. I know for sure that writing resume in this generation has change a lot compare to my days. Good thing I found this website called Resume Builder and right now, I am very happy to try it.

Online System

Online System is one of the successful network marketers in this generation. It does not take time and effort to get started but it takes three easy steps to do it. First, it leads to enter your website. Second, help you convert your leads to sales and third your sales associate can instantly duplicate your success.  In addition, by getting the service you gets a pre-designed website, which is for me it is good since not all know how to make a website, appealing to people. Online system create custom marketing campaigns a contact manage software and pre-written email campaigns. However, you all have to visit their website so you all know what you get and how it works. One thing for sure too is that they have 24/7 customer service which is good.

Youth Juice

I was browsing the internet when I happen to read this Youth Juice. I become very intrigue and so I read their website. Youth Juice is a concoction from elderberry, red raspberry, blueberry, blackberry, boysenberry, black currant and cranberry. I am very impressed of these seven berries. I have not even seen some of them but I know this berries do have nutrients that are good for our body. Then aside from the berries, they added sea vegetables.  I cannot say it more this would be an amazing product. Any product that would come in the market and it brings good results to people it would become a hit. I hope people would also find products like this or else they will not get the best results that Youth Juice would bring to them. For now, I cannot wait to see the product.

Great Shape Today

I had a good chat with my cousin today and I told her how she is going to have a great shape today and tomorrow when she will not do any exercise. After she gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, she focuses all her attention to her.  She does not like to get out and do some walking but sometimes with her husband tagging along they go walk at the park. She is a nurse and after her 12 hours duty she don’t like to move around her house but stay a lot of tome with her daughter. Which I do not blame her 12 hours is a lot of time to be away from her only daughter. However, I told her to start exercising because a Great Shape Today  means a good health today and in the future. She just smiles and she told me she is too tired after work. I really insisted to her that working and exercising are different. I have to encourage her and push her more until she get annoy at me or else she will be overweight. I saw her photos the other day, she indeed gained a lot of weight, and I told her to be very careful. Health is wealth.

Sky Watch

The morning of October 7, 2011

I thank you God for this most amazing day, for the leaping greenly spirits of trees, and for the blue dream of sky and for everything which is natural, which is infinite, which is yes.  ~e.e. cummings

Later on the sunset which I spent time watching for few minutes.
