Got a new laptop

This week I was not able to join some fun here in blogosphere because my laptop just crash on me. Hubby and I brought my laptop to the computer repair shop but the owner said that if we  gonna spend more than $300 just for repair (change the mother board and all) we'd better buy a new one. And we did! Yesterday, hubby and I went to Bestbuy to find a not so expensive laptop by HP and I found one that just suit my need.  I don't play games except in facebook, I don't download movies or even burn or rip music, I only blog ,surf and chat in the internet. I do feel bad that my first laptop has  only 4 years to live and hubby spend more than $1,000 on it. Now we are kind of wise buyer LOL, we don't put anything on it unless it is necessary. So my laptop is just under $500 how cool is that lol! 

Thank God, the computer repair man did extract all my document files and picture files from my old laptop and put it in an external hard drive. And with his service and the external hard drive he only  bill us for just  $45, my hubby just like him lol!!! Definitely,  he is not a sucking money guy,  for that you like to tell friends to go to him if you need a help about computers. So now I am back to blogging and joining fun meme's, but had to cook first lol!

Hosting

I've meet my DH here in the internet, if I would recall we started emailing since 2001, we chatted for two years and meet personally in 2003. So through all those times I am familiar and noticed a lot of changes in the internet. If before in my place in the Philippines there were only at least 5 internet cafes (that's the whole city), now almost all the streets has one or two internet cafes and some people who can afford to buy computers and could pay an internet connection have one in their house.

I started blogging 2005 and since then I meet a lot of people who became my friends. Then I noticed that many of my friends have their own domain they are becoming a geek I thought. I found out through our conversation  that they found some dedicated web hosting online that could provide great service specially in their blogging.   I am amused because I never thought of looking and availing those services. Now I am surfing and trying to know what is best for my blogging site. I see that there are many great web host and I am hoping I could avail with it. 

Access a driver...

I am not a savvy computer geek but do try to be one because nobody in our household knows about computer. Hubby and I often times in the computer and we like that both our computers work very well for our liking. And so before he bought his new computer he see to it that that sound driver is downloaded and all the computer drivers are updated. He really needs to be updated in his computer since that is where he makes money. He go online all the time and if something is not right it will jeopardized his business.While I am using laptop I only see to it that my window drivers is right. I go net surfing all the time, I play online games, I join different forums that is how basically I used my laptop so I see to it that all my drivers are updated too.
