Will This Flower Survive?

Went outside and found my flowers were covered with snow. One that I feel pity is this Zinnia who tried to open up but I am not sure if it can since we are experiencing frost every morning and yesterday we had our first snow. My Photo Challenge today!

Balloon Flower

I bought this three weeks ago on sale.
The best way to buy flowers is when summer is almost over because it become cheap.
Few days ago I see this flower bloom. It is huge and what made me smile this flower has it's way of protecting the scorching sun. The petals tries to close down make a shadow on the center . Next year
I am hoping to see this thrive and give more flowers, will see!

                                                                I did some cropping here.

My Rose

I have one climbing rose and the color is Salmon. I was excited this year because I have seen so many  buds almost every stem. Then this black ants attacked my rose buds and make the whole in the middle of the buds. I keep on flicking the ants so as not to stay longer but for no avail they keep on coming back. Until I bought an ants sprayer for roses and I got one full bloom rose and I have 4 buds ready to bloom too.

See this bud? This is one of the four buds that was left behind un-touch by the ants.

Dahlia

I have been asked last week how big or small are my Dahlias. Thankfully the yellow one my Aunt took a measurement tape and measure it. And the other day I also measure my smallest Dahlia.

                                                                     About 7 inches.
                                                                Less than 2 inches
I still can see blossoms but I doubt it if the flowers could make it. We already had frost at night. I just wonder how to keep this plants from dying in Winter. My step-daughter told me to re-plant it in a pot and my Aunt says dig the tubes and keep it. I search online and I found one solution cut the stem and the roots should be covered with a lot of leaves. And I think I will do that. ^_^

As everybody had seen my humongous Dahlia well this is my tiniest Dahlia too. It has a pretty color and they are still blossoming even if we are already in Fall.
Ain't this pretty?

Purple blossom

It's getting hot here in MI but some days it cool off which I like the most because I have time outside to check on my flowers and veggies. Here is one flower that is blooming right now here in my flower bed but I forgot the name of this one. They are so tiny and I like the color because it's purple.
