Pretty Roses

I always like roses. Growing up I learned that roses are hard to take care so when I came here in the US and started to plant flowers in the garden I did not take a second look for roses. Until when hubby and I went a Rose show the experienced change my perspective I then started to plant roses. Here is one of my roses that is growing fast and is sprouting many buds. At first this roses are in miniature category but as far as I see it now they are not miniature for me they are getting bigger each year that come.

Apple Picking

Yesterday, bunch of my friends went for apple picking. I thought we can't do an apple picking this year.  What happened last spring we had a late frost and all the buds withered because of that. Thankfully, Blakes Orchard and Cider Mill allow people to pick the apples. It was a last minute shout out from a friend but still a handfull of us manage to go. Compared to last year I could tell there are not too many apples but still we enjoyed it a lot. Here are some of my photos taken from my HTC phone.

And of course my attire to our U Pick apple event. ^_^ Thankfully the weather here in Michigan is not "brutally" cold. I manage to wear a light jacket, put some scarf and wear a flat shoes and jeans.

Something Red

Everything is in bloom and summer is almost over. I take notice of the colors that are most prominent in my garden. I found the shade of red, yellow, pink and purple are the most common in my flower garden and how I am always delighted to take photos of them. Here are some of my flowers that has red shade of color.

What A Sky!

After almost eight years of living here in the US this is the first winter I experienced with not much snow. Though the temperature is sometimes below 31F but almost all the time we are above 35F and some other days like today we are at 44F, not bad for winter huh! And the sun is out that I am thankful because the cabin fever is easy to kick in when I can't see and feel the sun. The other day we have 3 inches of snow but the whole day the sun is out. And because I took pictures of the sky in any season and what ever weather it is I noticed that the sunrise is beautiful with these few combination, sun and snow. Here is what I am talking about.
