It's Our 7th wedding anniversary

              Yipeee today is our 7th wedding anniversary. Hubby asked me what we are going to do. Well, I told him I like to visit the Detroit Arts and museum, then to a church, then eat somewhere. No gifts, I have plenty last Christmas. What I like is to spend time with my hubby today. ^_^ Pink rose has a significant meaning to our love affair. Early 90's I was working then. I came to the point in which I like to meet a person, be my boyfriend and maybe become my husband. But unfortunately none came (errr I mean many courted but don't just like them, lol not my typo ^_^) That time I was in my mid 20's somehow there are pressures from every point of view ^_^. But I have my principle in life that I would never marry a man for the sake of getting married. I am certain and I am sure that God has a man for me and that I have to wait. I found these novena to St. Joseph, and in my novena I asked St. Joseph intercession to find a man for me. I asked him to tell Jesus ASAP that HE is going to sent me the man! Oh well, our ways is not God's ways, it took me 10 years to meet the MAN, lol! But here is the story and why the pink rose is part of it. Well, in my novena, I asked specifically that the man who is going to be my husband for life, is going to  give me a SINGLE PINK ROSE! Yup not white, red or yellow it would be pink. And lo and behold my hubby gave me a SINGLE PINK ROSE the first time we meet. Yay!!! Remember I waited for 10 years and it's worth the wait. My hubby is the most handsome guy ever born in the world, the most kind, understanding and loving person. And oh yes he love God too. I can't ask for more my hubby is the one and the pink rose? It's always part of our love story!

Sky Watch

                                      So nice to see the sunset today. It's been awhile that our sky is gloomy.
                                          I love the golden glow on this one a midst the dark surrounding

                                   Took a little bit closer. And saw a little bit darker glow.

                      To all my blog friends have a HAPPY and PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR!!

The Twelve days of Christmas

You're all familiar with the Christmas song, "The Twelve Days of Christmas" I think. To most it's a delightful nonsense rhyme set to music. But it had a quite serious purpose when it was written. It is a good deal more than just a repetitious melody with pretty phrases and a list of strange gifts.
Catholics in England during the period 1558 to 1829, when Parliament finally emancipated Catholics in England, were prohibited from ANY practice of their faith by law - private OR public. It was a crime to BE a Catholic.
"The Twelve Days of Christmas" was written in England as one of the "catechism songs" to help young Catholics learn the tenets of their faith - a memory aid, when to be caught with anything in *writing* indicating adherence to the Catholic faith could not only get you imprisoned, it could get you hanged, or shortened by a head - or hanged, drawn and quartered, a rather peculiar and ghastly punishment I'm not aware was ever practiced anywhere else. Hanging, drawing and quartering involved hanging a person by the neck until they had almost, but not quite, suffocated to death; then the party was taken down from the gallows, and disembowelled while still alive; and while the entrails were still lying on the street, where the executioners stomped all over them, the victim was tied to four large farm horses, and literally torn into five parts - one to each limb and the remaining torso.
The songs gifts are hidden meanings to the teachings of the faith. The "true love" mentioned in the song doesn't refer to an earthly suitor, it refers to God Himself. The "me" who receives the presents refers to every baptized person. The partridge in a pear tree is Jesus Christ, the Son of God. In the song, Christ is symbolically presented as a mother partridge which feigns injury to decoy predators from her helpless nestlings, much in memory of the expression of Christ's sadness over the fate of Jerusalem: "Jerusalem! Jerusalem! How often would I have sheltered thee under my wings, as a hen does her chicks, but thou wouldst not have it so..."

The other symbols mean the following:
2 Turtle Doves = The Old and New Testaments
3 French Hens = Faith, Hope and Charity, the Theological Virtues
4 Calling Birds = the Four Gospels and/or the Four Evangelists
5 Golden Rings = The first Five Books of the Old Testament, the "Pentateuch", which gives the history of man's fall from grace.
6 Geese A-laying = the six days of creation
7 Swans A-swimming = the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit, the seven sacraments
8 Maids A-milking = the eight beatitudes
9 Ladies Dancing = the nine Fruits of the Holy Spirit
10 Lords A-leaping = the ten commandments
11 Pipers Piping = the eleven faithful apostles
12 Drummers Drumming = the twelve points of doctrine in the Apostle's Creed

All the meaning makes sense to me. The easiest way to remember what the church believes. So I hope when we sing this song we all know the real meaning of it. Merry Christmas and a HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!

Love The Shake?

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Slim-Fast for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

SF-123-RTD-CreamyMilkChocolate.jpg
I am not happy to tell the world that I gain a little bit of pounds these past few days. Since the holiday season started the party never stopped. Every weekend there is at least two or three party invitation. I set myself to go to only one because that is only what I can take. If I go to all the parties every weekend then I would weight 160 pounds and that is a lot! I have been to yo-yo diet, pill diet and exercise a lot. Unfortunately, I never lose weight in any of this strategy. I tried to do vegetable dieting, gush, I cannot take it, and I feel dizzy at the middle of the day I ended up eating a lot in the afternoon. I tried walking but I feel lonely I am the only one person walking the street. It feels very depressing when you like to lose those unwanted pounds and you cannot lose even one pound.

I found Slim-Fast the best of all the best. You see that in Slim-Fast  you do not deprive yourself of a good taste. It does taste so good it has different flavor like:
* Creamy Milk Chocolate
* French Vanilla
* Rich Chocolate Royale
* Cappuccino Delight
* Strawberries N’Cream

In addition, my favorite of these flavors are Strawberries N’Cream and Cappuccino Delight. I could label these two as my awesomeness in my diet plan. After I knew Slim-Fast I also knew that, they have Slim-Fast 3*2*1 Plan that it helps a lot to me and to those who are going to try Slim-Fast. What is Slim-Fast 3*2*1 Plan? Well here it is:
* The new Slim-Fast shakes are part of the Slim-Fast 3*2*1 Plan. It gives you quick result and done right. Moreover, it is flexible so you can get the structure you want and the variety you crave. Just follow the plan.
* 3 Snacks: Three nourishing snacks a day such as Slim-Fast 100-calorie snack bars, fruit, nuts or veggies
* Slim-Fast 100 calorie snack bars provide a delicious calorie-controlled snack to help curb sweet cravings between meals.
* 2 Slim-Fast Shakes or Meal Bars per day: Slim-Fast shakes and meal bars are delicious and satisfying, providing the balanced nutrition of a meal and up to four hours of hunger control
* 1 balanced meal: Enjoy one balanced 500-calorie meal per day. As a rule, try to fill half your plate with veggies, a quarter with protein, and a quarter with whole grains

If you noticed, it is a very easy plan to follow. In my experienced, I do not have to deprive my body to a delicious food because they have snacks that will enhance your craving of anything. Right now, I am eyeing to try meal bars because I wanted to lose more weight fast and because of these aim of my t o lose weight fast I would try the meal bars aside from the shakes and snack bars that I am already enjoying. And if you don’t know Slim-Fast shakes are available in the pharmacy sections of any groceries and retailers nationwide, like Wal-Mart, Safeway, Kroger and online at Amazon.com and the Slim-Fast 3-2-1 Store on Facebook. To those who like Slim-Fast like me visit there site on Facebook and click ‘LIKE’. I did!

The blessing of a Christmas manger or nativity scene may take place on the Vigil of Christmas or at another suitable time.
When the manger is set up in the home, it may be  blessed by a parent or another family member. The blessing (which is taken from the Catholic Household Blessings & Prayers) includes a brief prayer, a biblical reading, and a closing prayer.

Contrast

As we all know the south part of the Philippines was hit by a calamity. Two cities were directly hit and one of my close friend died. In my city they also have their share of flood. Thankfully, according to my cousin the city council had constructed this diverse river (started few years ago) because if it was not the city would also have a disaster on their own. Here is the contrast of what happened last December 17, 2011.

                                       This is the water that you can see in an ordinary day like this. Kids will swim here, some women will do their laundry here too.

                              Here is how fast and deep and muddy the water was last December 17.

LG DoublePlay™ for T-Mobile

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of LG DoublePlay™ for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Christmas is getting closer and closer and I have not shop yet. Hubby asked me this morning what I would love to get from Santa I told him it would be a phone and some camera lenses. He had this impish smile and I know what is that mean. I know that he had something and I asked him what was he smiling about he told me he got me a phone! I was jumping up and down and hubby knew I love the phone he got me it is the new LG DoublePlay™ from T-MOBILE exclusively! I told hubby I could not wait to use the phone until next week so he gave it to me and I found out good features from LG DoublePlay™ phone.
-  It comes with a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash and 720p HD video recorder. How cool is that! For a phone to have this mega pixel camera and LED is awesome!
-  This phone also offers multiple messaging options, including Cloud Text and Group Text. This I find very appropriate to our family because we do talk a lot. I like to text every body and ask them where they are.
- LG DoublePlay™ features Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) with access to Android Market and delivers complete user customization with seven home screens and up to nine touch screen shortcuts for one-touch navigation.
- And for a phone that features QWERTY keyboard and dual capacitive touch screens is so cool because it can simultaneously do mobile activities!
Knowing all the features, I know this is the right phone for me. I have waited for long years not to get a good phone and here it is I have my LG DoublePlay™ from T-Mobile! Right now, I have text message waiting for my reply and I guess for a month I could have thousands of text messages lol! In addition, what I also most like is that when I got out I can still be online with my Facebook and other social networking and I bet I could stay 24/7 online with this phone. What about your friends how many text messages do you send to your friends and relatives for a month. How much time do you spend time social networking. With these beautiful features of LG DoublePlay™ do you think you would change how your text and do your social networking? Leave your comments friends  I would appreciate it very much!

Carve Four New Faces

If you could carve for more faces into the side of Mt. Rushmore, whose faces would they be? Why do you believe your choices deserve such a place of honor?

I do like this question. My answer to this is my mother and father's face and ME!! They deserve to be honor because they choose to gave me life. It's so scary to think IF my mother aborted me. The good part is that in those time that I was conceived women were not brain wash or told to abort babies. I don't know if that time there is already a contraceptive pills. But what I knew is that my parents are excited to have me their first baby. What about you guys whose face do you like to be carve in Mt. Rushmore?

Christmas Shopping Deadlines 2011

Are you feeling the hustle and bustle of preparing the holiday season?  I do! It got me to the point that I am stress out because of running around like crazy. I am always beating the traffic and all the holiday shoppers who are also in a rush trying to finish their things done.  Yesterday, hubby and went shopping again at Best Buy and used our Best Buy Coupons and I bought him a 27 inches computer monitor. For me I was tempted to buy a new phone but I can wait.  I am looking for a good deal online and found BestOnlineCoupons.com a website not to be miss out this season. When we got home hubby’s daughter dropped by to visit us and we talked about holiday shopping and beating the traffic, discounted sales and of course the shoppers. She told me to check also the Shipping Deadlines for Christmas 2011 because that is what her hubby did when he bought her a new Nikon dslr. This morning I check the website and look for a new lens and thankfully, I found one that is a bit cheap, cheaper than the store. In addition, with the shipping deadlines to beat I order it. Now I am waiting for the day to come for my new lens to arrive so I can play around with it.

My Pearls

Last Saturday, hubby and I were invited to a party. In an event like wedding or formal party I always wear my treasured pearls. I bought them in the Philippines from a jeweler who happened to be a distant relative. The pearls on this one is huge that is why I don't used it in daily basis or even going to church because it just HUGE! And it will of course catch any attention. The gold is 22k and the white stones are diamonds. Take a look!

To buy or not to buy

Hubby and I were shopping and window shopping yesterday. We were also sending packages to some friends from out of town and Christmas cards to especial people. At Fedex, we found that to send a small box will be worth $200++ so hubby and I decided to just send it in a the big balikbayan box. After doing it we went shopping for some of my stuff and his stuff then we ended up at the big store for electronics. As I have said it here when the flat screen came out and people are crazy buying it I told hubby we are not going to buy those because after a while many new model will come out and I was right. Now plasma are cheap and lcd and then I found out there is a new one LED LCD what ever it is, when I compare the LED LCD to LCD and  plasma you could see the difference. And besides they already have 60 inches and 70 inches. I said to hubby this is what I want now. By the way it is want not need, lol! So I might stretch the days and months waiting for another model or kind of tv, lol. To continue my story, the LED LCD is too thin it is almost as thin as my laptop!! But frankly speaking I was in love with the LED 60 inches Sharp ($1,399.99)  and the 70 inches LED Sharp ($2,599.99) the difference between the two is a matter of a thousand +++ and hubby said if we are going to haev 7- inches we don't need a wall!!! Can you imagine that I was so in love with the thin flat screen tv and here is hubby said something that made me burst in laughter I couldn't stopped laughing.
To tell the truth it's my first time that I drool these flat screen tv, because there is only one thing that make me drool CAMERA LENSES!!! YUP  that's it and yesterday the wind came from a different direction and even until this morning my mind is still with the tv!! Can't believe it I was online last night ordering the camera lenses i want and my thoughts is with the tv.
But here is the deal now, hubby and I are thinking of petitioning my brother though we know it will take 20 years for this kind of petition to be done ( so kind of unfair). And in so doing, I want him to adopt my niece and nephew and the lawyer asked him for a whooping 27,000 pesosesoses!! Converted to $$ it would be $600+++ There the deciding moment now.....the flat screen tv or my pamangkin's adoption so when they are legally adopted by my brother I could start my petition for him here in the US. What you think???

Again, watching my backyard birds this morning. And as I was watching a small cutie pie Bluebird passed the window. I grabbed my camera and ...
