Xoom rate

I was so shocked as of this writing because I opened my account at xoom to send money in the Philippines. Now what got me shocked is because their rate is just 43.++ pesos for a $1 gush that is too way low. I like xoom because it's cheap to send money but their exchange rate is too low. I am thinking of getting back to Western Union but I have to look at it tomorrow since it is almost 10:00 pm here and I am kind of tired already from the party. 

Game time

It's Saturday once again and it's our family brunch time. This time I went out with hubby usually I just stayed home since I can cooked myself what I can find in the restaurant for breakfast/lunch. We were in the restaurant when it started to have little bit of flurries but thankfully it didn't get through I was praying it wouldn't I already like the feeling of Spring time. It was kind of chilly outside and I am wearing flip-flops with no jacket on. At the table, we were talking about how technology is going higher and higher you can't even keep up. Those old timers who don't like computers had a hard time figuring it out now than before with all those new browser coming like new every time. Our discussion shifted to playing games and more specially that my step-sons honeymoon next month will be in Las Vegas. He likes and a bunch of my DH relatives love to play poker and we talked about downloading games like PokerStars Download and that you can even get a PokerStars bonus code with that. He explains it all to the old timer folks and the are just so amazed how can a new technology do all that, in just in the comfort of your home. And a Full Tilt Poker Download is what he do like most it is easy and it is just there right there in your computer. 

It was kind of fun discussing this new things that are happening to us now. Somebody even says that emailing won't not be here any longer but still I do like it. I have said to my hubby everything that we like to find is just right there in the internet just one click and you'll be there. So why not use it, right?

Textbooks

Do you have any idea how expensive new textbooks are? My niece in the Philippines is now in her 4th year nursing and since first year she bought new textbooks every time teachers required them to buy one.  At first, it was not that too expensive but as she finished the first year in nursing and started to have major subjects that is when I told her, those textbooks are so expensive!! I asked her one time if there are available sell textbooks in their school or those students who are done with the certain subjects and she said sometimes there is but most of the time they had to order it to another city, gush!

Comparing here in the US my DH niece who just graduated last December in her nursing school told us that she was so thankful that there are many sell textbooks online or even in some local stores. What she do is to find it online and what ever comes first  she will immediately bought it because if she is going to buy it as new, it is so expensive. I so wish that this style will gonna happen in the Philippines too because basing on my experienced, after I graduated all my accounting books were just in the corner and rot. If only I can sell textbooks at that time I don't hesitate to do it.

Yesterday, was the best day so far in this month of April. Here in MI the temperature reaches to 81F and it does so feel good. I opened all the windows and do my spring cleaning in the kitchen and the back room. After cleaning I started to update my blog here. As I blog hop I noticed that some of my friends had their own domain already. I was thinking where they got it and how much do they pay for it. I am planning to have my own domain but don't know where to start and how to start. I wanted to know if when I own my own domain if I could chance it from time to time because I like to do that so my blog won't look bland. And I am looking for budget hosting domain because I have 4 blogs that I maintain and I do love to change the look of it from time to time. Well, right now I am still in the process of searching and comparing the rates and knowing how it works is fun to do. I don't want a domain that I can't tweak at least the simple tweaking is all I can do. But yes, I am so determined to have my own domain and I today I will start to look for the right one. Crossing my fingers!

It's the time again..

Last summer I had fun going to other places because of trade show exhibits and craft shows. A friend of mine invited me to go with her because she had so much stuff to display and she wanted some help. So I went with her and help her but to my amazement everything was already put up like her table covers and she even had the famous directors chairs which is very comfortable because the whole day I was there, I seated on that chair when we are not busy. As if I am the owner lol!

Trade show booth are very important because it is the mainstay of any trade show exhibits or craft shows. And if you don't have a nice and presentable table booth who would like to see your product. And so the table covers, though some exhibitors don't put table covers but some do prefer to have it for more nice looking show booth. My friend prefer a table covers that are easy to put up and are colorful and can be printed of by any kind of logo. Then I asked  also noticed her table top display  it does in no doubt make her stuff more attractive than the others lol! This morning as I was cleaning the kitchen she called me and told me if I like to go with her again in showing her stuff and of course selling them. I said I am all set when ever and where ever she likes to go I will help her. That is what friends are for, right?
