My temptation

Every time hubby and I visits my SIL's cabin by the lake I am tempted to take the boat and go in the middle of the lake. But the thing is I don't know how to swim and I have a fear of water or drowning. I have many experienced that I almost drowned and the last time was last year when I was in the Philippines vacationing. My brother's family and my nieces and nephew are in the pool. I was walking from our cottage and jumped immediately into the pool but when I tried to touched the floor I couldn't!! That's when I started to get panicked, thankfully my brother is just right in front of me and scope me to the side. I heard them laugh at me I just wondered why they had the nerve to laughed at me???!! I found out that the pool is just 5 feet deep  and I am 4'11 in height!! GRRRR!! Yes I have this what we call fear of drowning or fear of water. So this photo is a tempt to me, sigh!!!

To be in this place is like reaching a star. For now I am happy watching it from a far, sigh!

That water does look tempting. I used to have a fear of water when I was younger. I'm not sure when I got over it but it doesn't bother me anymore.

Pretty pictures, by the way.

I have a fear of drowning too, if my feet don't touch the bottom, then be prepared for an anxiety attack! but this has not stopped me to go on beach resorts.

It's never too late to learn to swim...my Mother learned in her 70's and was so proud she was not afraid to get in a boat or go for a swim...life jacket on of course. Your pictures of the lake are beautiful. I hope you will be able to enjoy the pleasures of the lake sometime in the future.

beautiful scenery and yes tempting! I don't like the weeds when they touch my legs. other that that, nice cool water on a hot summer day is great!

You need to learn to swim - it is never too late then you can enjoy the water! Lovely shot.

This certainly is a pretty little lake. I know I would enjoy being out there. Perhaps you could get a life jacket to wear.

Age has tempered the temptation water is to me. Back in 'the day' if I saw water I just had to be in it. These days I put my big toe in and it is easy to resist - I don't like being cold!
But that lake could tempt me still I think.

Bluebird

Again, watching my backyard birds this morning. And as I was watching a small cutie pie Bluebird passed the window. I grabbed my camera and ...
