One of my favorite childhood memories is watching the tv show, Battlestar Gallactica, with my family and friends. It was a popular futuristic science-fiction program set in outer-space.
The show provided plenty of thrills in the form of action and adventure, and also some comedy and drama. If you were a fan of Star Treck or Star Wars, Battlestar Gallactica was a natural draw.
A funny thing about that show was the supposedly futuristic terminology that was woven into the dialog. For instance, the word "seconds" was changed to "sentons". They even invented futuristic curse words that sounded similar to actual curse words. In a way, this enabled the characters to get away with cursing on the show. They couldn't get into trouble with sensors for using words like "fark".
Many years have passed since Battlesar Gallactica was on network tv. However, I recently stumbled upon that very show while scanning the myriad channels available on my satellite tv package at www.ExpertSatellite.com. What a blast from the past!
Watching a beloved television program from my youth was a nostalgic experience. It brought back fond memories of a different time, and reminded me of how much has happened in my life.

I remember Battlestar Galactica very well. I may need to see if I can track it down on our system.
