We have a local museum with a butterfly house, and I love to go there, camera in hand. It's lovely to see them up close, especially when they have such variety. They also have a bunch of pupae behind glass that you can watch hatch. Miracles in the making!

I have been around a long time, but do not recall ever seeing butterflies eating fruit.

What a great photo to share Kim. I too did not know butterflies would feed on fruit. Actually, I have no idea what they eat. There are butterfly bushes that attract them so maybe they feed on the bush. An interesting thought.
