A trivia...one acre of cotton produces 40 gallons of biodiesel. Is it true?

biofuel is getting bigger here, too. i read that the danger is, farm lands would be converted into plantations for biofuel.

the more I read about biofuels, the less I am convinced. I'd rather see farmland used for feeding people.

This is a new one for me. It sounds a bit scary. Farmers are losing their farms because of the economy so maybe this is a way for them to make a living.genie

Now I say, that is a trivia, but I have no clue.

This is what I do during a rainy photo expedition. If I have to use my big camera, just cover it with a plastic where there is a big opening, you can easily improvise. My point a shoot comes very handy.

I did not know they used cotton but that would be correct - cottonseed oil. We have biodiesel here in Indiana, which they produce from vegetable oils (sunflowers and canola) and/or animal fat. We also have E85 fuel, which is produced from corn.
