Indian Corn

We went to our neighboring apple orchard and cider and I find this Indian corn pretty. I asked hubby if we could eat it he said NO. And I said what's the purpose of them and he said for decoration. But I thought the farmers could grind it and give it to the chickens. I hope I am right. ^_^

The Indian corn is very pretty. I have often seen it used as decorations, but I have never known anyone to eat it.

It can probably be ground into corn meal as it looks a lot like the original corn before hybridization. But I think it makes a gorgeous decoration. :)

It is so beautiful! I am sure animals can eat it. Lovely. And I thought I'd mention that your blog title is very hard to read over your header photo. You might want to use a different color or style type.

Nothing shouts autumn like some ears of Indian corn. Children love to pick them out! I think it was my first effort to decorate ("Oh mommy, we need this one with all the colors in it!").

Thanks for visiting and commenting on my new bracelets. I am going to list everything that I have shown there.
I love Indian corn! It looks like my first bracelet with all the different colours!
Can you eat Indian corn? Or is it strictly a decoration?
Best wishes,
Anna
