Butterfly

I always excited to see photo bloggers take a good shot of butterflies more specially if it's macro. Unfortunately, since I got my first dslr nikon I haven't had a single photo about butterflies. I got hummingbirds, some bugs and other birds but none about butterfly. Well the other day after days of waiting   for my tiny visitor hummingbird another tiny visitor came and this time a butterfly. They are fast in their movement that's why I keep my patience to the highest level and endure the hot sun lol! Thankfully, I got good shots and here it is.

Nice Shots. While shooting butterfly macros, its tough deciding where to focus, I find that focus on the wings rather than body has the best effect. You can get better depth of field by using a smaller aperture size. Hope that helps :)

Lovely shots. I know how hard it is to catch these things in good light. Just when you are ready the butterfly flies off.

I am not a camera expert and lack any great knowledge - I tend to point and shoot! However my new camera does have a macro setting so I am quite keen to learn new skills and angles, hence my joining this fun Monday meme!

The wait in your case was well worth it and the results are truly outstanding.

Oh boy....and here I spent a long time out in the heat of the day last week, trying and trying to capture the butterfly with its wings 'open'...and never did. Here you show me your photos...I'm so darned jealous.

That's a great shot, that first one! The second is interesting too, because we don't often get to see pictures of the underside of the wings. Well captured!
