The first guitar my brother had was an ordinary guitar. My mother used to tell us it served the purpose so why bother buy an expensive guitar, lol!! Well she is right there since the guitar that my brother was not too expensive to begin with. My mother told us to practice and learned a lot first before buying an expensive guitar. Well she was right because not too long because I also used the guitar it gets worn out but we had fun in that guitar. Now when I visit a guitar store it feels like I am in a candy store, lol. The other day I bought a guitar string and a flying v bass caught my eye so pretty. I did told my brother about it and he rolled his eyes because he likes that guitar too!
