Apple Picking

Yesterday, bunch of my friends went for apple picking. I thought we can't do an apple picking this year.  What happened last spring we had a late frost and all the buds withered because of that. Thankfully, Blakes Orchard and Cider Mill allow people to pick the apples. It was a last minute shout out from a friend but still a handfull of us manage to go. Compared to last year I could tell there are not too many apples but still we enjoyed it a lot. Here are some of my photos taken from my HTC phone.

And of course my attire to our U Pick apple event. ^_^ Thankfully the weather here in Michigan is not "brutally" cold. I manage to wear a light jacket, put some scarf and wear a flat shoes and jeans.

Sadly, here in my part of Ontario, the orchards are bare. Farmers have had to ship in apples from Quebec to sell. I sure hope you made an apple pie!

You look adorable standing behind the tree...love it. I am orginally from Indiana...I miss going up to Michigan to pick apples. Great post.

wow, red apples in abundance. How lucky you must feel. Have you a good place for storing or are you baking lots of apple pies? Love your Mulberry scarf too.

Happily you have apples to pick - I like these, they are not shiny and aged as they might be in a supermarket. But fresh and sweet as picked. I know that the last Spring arrived too early, but it looks here as if the fruit survived nicely. It is a lot cooler here now than in July - it is a treat to wear a sweater now...
