My 1st hummingbird

It's raining hard here in Michigan and it's chilly too. I was at the window looking at my two empty bird feeder when all of a sudden I saw something flying so fast. I thought it was a bird trying to avoid me. Then I shifted my watchful eyes to my two hummingbird feeder and there it was my first hummingbird this year!! It lifted my spirit in this cold, gloomy and rainy day. Take a look!

This hummingbird is so pretty it made my day!!

Linking this post to MACRO MONDAY

Nice capture. Hummingbirds spook so easy and they move so quickly. My wife will be putting her hummingbird feeder up soon.

You did a good job getting this bird standing still! They are almost never still when I try to snap their picture!

Neat! I've been trying to attract them for years with no luck. Really neat colors too!

I have to go and get a new hummingbird feeder, I have not put one out this year. We only get those really tiny little brown non-colorful ones here but I still love them. I have never taken a photo of a hummingbird.

Your photo is absolutely beautiful, I just love it.

Gotta love those hummers!!! In fact, yesterday, I just began a new watercolor....with a hummingbird for the subject.

Here's an open invitation to view my 'legendary' MERMAID'S PURSE...a sea 'oddity'. If you have time...come on over for a visit!!

Have a super Monday.

Great catch! In video or on camera I find hummingbirds to be some of the most difficult birds to capture. I love the spot of white at his throat and how clear his eye is. Looking at you!

Wonderful. We don't have hummingbirds here so I'm always fascinated to see photos of them.
