PhotoHunt: Mother Nature

Last year we had this storm too. After Mother Nature lashed out her fury this is what I saw. Our huge evergreen tree almost hit my car and almost hit our house too. And at the front of our house this huge willow branch broke and almost hit the south side roof of our house. The scary part of this is that when the storm hit our place I WAS ALONE in the house! I was in the shower when all of the sudden a crashing and banging sound caught my attention. I looked outside and I couldn't see anything just a whirling of wind I was very scared!!  Hubby was at his son's place and our communication is just through the phone. I don't want him to drive home since the wind is so strong many trees might fell down as he drove on the road. We don't know when a catastrophe happen to us, what I know is that we have to be prepared. Now I have a spare battery, a match,  propane stove that is only be use in case of emergency. But with that experience I didn't think of all those things I only think of myself and my DH safety.

Wow, we see how mother nature can lash out at us humans. I have chosen to go this way too, but showing mother nature in her gentler moods.

I'm glad you weren't hurt in the severe storm. Scary when big trees come down.

now, who said weather is a boring subject?:p
it's mother nature's way of reminding us to take care of the planet.

I'd rather see Mother Nature the gentle side than when she's angry...but this is a great reminder that we shouldn't take anything for granted...Soon too God will destroy those who are destroying the earth. Happy weekend by the way...

When Mother Nature strucks like this, we are more or less helpless.

We are very happy to live in area where Mother Nature is very kind to us: Oslo, Norway. No EQ's, no Tornadoes nor Hurricanes, no severe flooding, no Tsunamis. As safe place to live. Even we have winters with Snow, we can heath up and have a pleasant life.

So if we can treat Mother Nature well, we can have a good and safe life. In spite of Ashes from Iceland....

Have a great Mothers Day.
Here we have Mothers Day the second Sunday in February. It's mostly a commercial event.
