ABC Wednesday W is for World War II

Another round of ABC Wednesday meme is here again and the letter for this week is letter W.  I am eager to show this picture from my husbands Uncle,  that was taken in India where he was assigned in World War II. This picture was hanged on the wall and everybody looked at it with awe and my Uncle W (his name starts with W too) is very proud of it he instantly like to share stories of that war. He is 90 years old now but memories of that war still clings in his fragile mind. We are proud of him too for serving our country... to our Uncle W we salute you!!

From the left seating...our Uncle W is the 4th one

Yes, these soldiers should be commended for their bravery in defending and preserving the honor of the country they serve. Without them, countries will be vulnerable to aggressions. Thanks for the post. Merry Christmas to you all. God bless you all always.

Maybe it's just me, but I can see only the four guys on the left, and that much text.

Still, you're a proud niece and rightly so.

War times and warbirds sometimes are part of peace. A wonderful reminder for your Uncle W of friends gathered under the wing.
May you and yours have a peaceful holiday.
Looking forward to 2010.
Happy ABC Wednesday.

It's a great photo to treasure - and perfect for ABC Wednesday, too. Uncle W is rightly proud. What a huge plane to have flown in as part of a team. That can't have been easy, wartime or not.
