Tree Work

Our summer is weird I do not know if it is just here in Michigan but one thing that I observe we do not have so much of warm days. I was looking at our vegetable garden today it looks like my vegetables are not doing great. I told hubby about it and he told me it might be because we do not have warm night and on some days we are raining or just cold in summer!
Anyway, this is the time when we start to clean up our yard and by cleaning it means cutting some limbs that are hanging out there. Last month I was mad and sad because a limb fell down and landed right at my cars windshield very bad huh! This morning I told him to check on his working tools, tools that can cut tree limbs and not so huge trees. A couple of hours ago he told me is missing some of his tools it brought my eyebrow to raise, lol! Before, he asked me about a tree tools I told him already about this site www.sherrilltree.com and now he likes to check on it again. I hope he will find his tools or else I might buy him something this time.

Lucky for me here in Michigan we are sorrounded by so many lakes. That is why we are called the Great Lakes right? They said every 10 miles you find a lake here in Michigan but this park that I used to come and do my walking is just two or three miles away from me. Last two Sundays, I went there for my walk and find this awesome place took a picture and voila here it is. Does it look like a cute place to do fishing? We are not allowed to do swimming here just fishing and boating the beach is on the other side of this lake.

Recycling

Do you wonder where all our trash goes? All the time I wonder about it then one time we were in this, place and hubby pointed me out this mountain. I look at it; it is a mountain all right but does not have any trees or plants. He told me it is where our trash go through I could not believe it until I smell something stinky, lol! Anyway, I heard this recycling consulting company and I thought this is what countries and people do need. In my native country, we have this huge mountain we call it Smokey Mountain and it is all trash in there. From afar, it looks like a mountain but it is not that is why I think a recycling consulting expert should be hire by everyone so we could fix our problem with trash. Last weekend, hubby and I were talking about cleaning our woodshed and putting all our stuff into a recycling bin. I am into it because I am concern about our environment. If we do not take care of our surrounding it will come to us in no time and we are going to suffer from it. I also thought not all people are eager to do the recycling thing but if somebody is willing to show them and look after it, I think everything will be fine. For now, I am planning of what to recycle and what to put in the trash can that is the only way that I could help make our world a better way to live in.

I thought I would have plenty of sunflowers this year I plante a lot in my new garden but the deer find it like a buffet. The deer nipped it all and I feel really bad. Good thing in my small garden the deer did not know I planted sunflowers in there too that is why I have this.

Become a Scrabble Master

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of bols board games for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

I remember growing up my siblings and I had to go out to play with neighbors and cousins. Now a days is different kids and adult alike do their playing games through phones or computers. Before I find it odd because I use to play outside but then I found out there are some kids online that are good to play. I like board games and scrabble or word of friends, which I am into now, is my favorite. I am very competitive and so sometimes I have to push myself looking for words that gives high points this I need word game solvers. I think playing word games helps my vocabulary and right now is my favorite online game so far.
The other day I had a good time playing with cousins online. I spent the whole day playing board games with them that I forgot I have a date with friends at two o’clock in the afternoon. Searching online, I find BoLS Board Games site very helpful. It has a Scrabble Word Finder that you would definitely like a Scrabble Dictionary and Scrabble Cheat I do not condone cheating on any form but this helps you and other online players get better.

Two Sundays ago me and friends were at the park again having fun. You see our summer here in Michigan is weird this is my first time ever to have a summer like this we got a lot of rain this year. So everytime the weather turns nice and the temperature says 77f or 78F off we go to the beach. These time I was able to snapped lots of photos one thing that I do like is the Swan family.

The father and mother swan can't find the baby.

Oh there is the baby swan right behind the mother swan

                                                         Still following the mama swan

Did the mama swan just kicked the baby swan? LOL!

Monarch Butterfly

How many of you knew that monarch butterflies, bees and even bats are great pollinators but they are approaching to extinction. Which for me it is sad when I read this news a year ago. My purpose of having a flower and vegetable garden is for bees and butterflies to pollinate and have life not extinction. I let grow of my broccoli, bokchoy and other veggies to flower so bees and butterflies enjoy it. I think we have to take care of these little creatures they take care of us without us not taking pride of it or thinking about it.

(NaturalNews) You have likely seen them dancing through the air and gracing the petals and leaves of various plants and shrubs. But a new study published in the journal Insect Conservation and Diversity says that the popular Monarch butterfly, which is an absolute necessity for farmers, is on the decline. And the cause? Genetically-modified (GM) crops like corn, soy, and cotton, which today blanket millions of acres of American cropland.

Though not necessarily in the same vein as bees and bats, Monarch butterflies are still considered to be migrational pollinators. They travel very long distances and often inadvertently pollinate various flowers and plants. But Monarchs rely on milkweed plants to breed -- milkweed is actually the only plant on which Monarch larvae can feed -- and the use of pesticides in GM agriculture is contributing to the elimination of milkweed, and thus the elimination of Monarchs.

The study explains that during the 2009 - 2010 Monarch overwintering season, which represents the time during which eastern North American Monarch butterflies hold out through the winter in warmer Mexico, populations reached an all-time low. And while they increased slightly the following year, they still remained at dismally low levels.

Besides loss of forest in overwintering areas and continued land development, the report tacks the "expansion of GM herbicide-resistant crops, with consequent loss of milkweed host plants" as the culprit in declining Monarch butterfly populations. After all, Monsanto's Roundup herbicide specifically targets milkweed for termination, and roughly 150 million pounds of the poison are applied to US cropland every year.

If GM crops continue to take over the whole of agriculture with great strides, as they continue to do, Monarch butterflies (as well as bees and bats), may eventually become extinct. And without these pollinators, of course, it will be no longer possible to grow food.

T-shirt Designs

I was in the mall today and while looking around I spotted this t-shirt store.  I remember immediately I have to design a t-shirt for the birthday of hubby next year. I am not going to tell how old is he here in the whole wide world to know but I am planning I am going to throw a huge party for him. As I was inside, I could not find a good sign printed in the t-shirt it was then I thought of designing one for this event.
When I got home, I call a friend and ask her if she knew a site who can design a t-shirt with the t-shirt included of course. I have plenty of idea on what to print on the t-shirt,  t-shirt designs I like  to be that are unique and easy to read and remember. I went to browse the site and indeed I find how easy to design a t-shirt it is like counting one-two-three and you are done! Here is the website you can try design your shirt in no time www.designashirt.com I am sure you would love this site because ass I was browsing the site I love it too. It is very easy to navigate I even ended up designing something for me not for the birthday event lol!

                                                                    Episode 68, Year 1

This year our summer is weird here in Michigan. We do not have much above temperature in the 80F nor 90F compare to last year. The month of July we have several cold days and now in August seems like spring or feels like beginning of fall. Last weekend friends and I went to a beach to enjoy summer but then rain came and our party were abrupted that quick.
