Yellow tulips

One of the most loved flowers is tulips. And it's only in Holland,Michigan that I can see hundred varieties of tulips that I didn't know there it exist.  I was fortunate enough that this year I was able to visit the Tulip Festival again (2nd time) and with my camera I never passed any one tulip that I didn't  take a photo ^_^ Here is one that captured my heart. It's all yellow and when I saw it I was very tempted to plucked it hehehe!

My orchid buds

Last year a friend of mine gave an orchid on my birthday. The stems has full of blooms and stayed for awhile until it started to wither one by one. I was kind of anxious already if it means death to the orchid. I did try to revived the orchid by watering the plant with rain water. And I guess I also have a green thumb I started to see leaves coming out. It was the leaves that come first until lately I saw buds coming out. I thought it's just a bump from the old flowers but from one bud it came out another three from just one stem. Now the stems has at least four buds on each and I am so happy I did revive my orchid. Here it is..

     Here's what the orchid looks like before and by looking at all the buds I am expecting beautiful blooms.

Even here in Michigan we had so much rain. I could say the sun is very elusive but last few days ago the sun came out and it's about sunset.

Spring cleaning...

It's almost Summer and I am not done with my Spring cleaning. Two days in a row I've been cleaning our bedrooms. I told to myself one room at a night because if the work overwhelm me I get grumpy. Last Tuesday, I started cleaning our bedroom, in my closet I do a lot of sorting. And I accumulated three black bags full of clothes, geez I couldn't believe I have much that clothes and I have still more to sort out. But I like what I saw inside my closet it has more space and I could go around and look for something without bumping or crawling lol! 

Then yesterday, I did my hubby's closet. I found old receipts and old checks even old bills that are paid still hanging in his box. So I shred a lot of papers and thankfully he can walk on his closet now. For now, I am resting but would have to start cleaning the other bedroom it has a lot of things to sort and shred and then vacuum afterwards. Whewww...now I am sleepy thinking about it ^_^. Now I am thinking I might call pizza delivery and a coke!! To boost my power hehehehe!

I'll never smile again...

As I was browsing Youtube I came to this song....I'll never smile again. I remember my father immediately. I knew he sings this with gusto. He is a happy person he loves to smile and so if he sing this song he flash his gold tooth and that makes us laugh. As I listen intently the lyrics is beautiful I just love it more so I remember my Papa flashing his gold tooth and his never ending smile -sniff-sniff-

Indigo bunting is the name

This was taken last Wednesday, May 18 at almost 8pm. At first I saw two cardinals a male and a female. Then a woodpecker and all of a sudden this blue bird came at first I have to squint my eyes if it's black or brown. Then as I looked closer it's blue, deep blue I was very happy I grabbed my camera and tried not to get any attention from the hungry visitor ^_^ I was not able to take a closer shot I am afraid it would fly right away if it sees any movement so I took this inside the house very from the bird feeder behind a window glass. It's kind of blurry tried to move fast before this pretty one fly away. I don't know the name of this bird had to look for it. ^_^

              After searching at the internet, I found out that the name of this bird is Indigo bunting. This is my first time to see this bird. And I so admire the color of it. Loving my backyard birds!!

A Goldfinch?

Well last Saturday, goldfinch came to my bird feeder. I bought a special seeds for this little guy and few hours after their they are trying to squeezed each other. I was so happy when I saw two birds already eating the thistle seeds. Had a good time taking photos. But I am still guessing if this is a goldfinch or warbler?

                                                          This guy is the first to come.

Sky Watch Friday

Here in Michigan we had rain everyday. It's hard to find a good colorful sunset or sunrise when the sun just didn't come out. Few days ago we had a beautiful sunset, it showed different colors but I was hesitant to go out it's too cold, lol! My photos (posted above) I took this the other day when the sky started to clear out and the sun wanted to come out. And because of that it created a silvery gold lining at the edge of a dark and gloomy clouds. The photos didn't justify what I saw in person....it was really beautiful I had to take a good look and admire how nature can make me happy.

Did I see Oriole bird?

This morning I get up kind of early around 7:30 am. I immediately heard the birds chirping there songs and I love hearing them. I can't sleep back again (lol) I get up and fix a coffee. My mind still heavy from yesterday's happening and thought of going outside to see the green grass and breath the fresh air. But it was raining so I decided to wait for a few minutes. I was looking at the computer I don't have the liking to do something online. So I took my jacket, change the lens of my camera, put on my socks, then shoes off I go. I was outside when I noticed that it's not raining anymore and it's not chilly. I started walking around and took a photos of different flowers that  are blooming in my garden. Then I went at the farthest south side of our property where trees are blooming beautiful flowers when I spotted this beautiful bird. I have not seen this bird visiting my bird feeder. I later knew that it's Oriole and they like nectar to sip on and not seeds. I took a picture but this bird is fast it's kind of blurry but I am sure it has a great color on it.

                                           
                                  This could be a warbler too but I am guessing it's Oriole. And I am putting a special feeder for this bird. Hope it will come soon so I could take a good photo. ^_^
